I purchased these boots when I lived in Florida specifically for a trip to Europe for Christmas(in 2007). We don't wear boots that often in South Florida, but we would be in several cold countries in Europe, so I knew I would need a pair. They were fine for the few weeks I wore them on our trip, and when we returned to Florida they were stored in their box in a cool, dry closet. I recently moved to South Dakota and was actually quite excited to be able to wear boots again. I wore these boots a handful of times once I got here and they are peeling everywhere, they just look awful. I sent Steve Madden an email to their customer service ages ago, and have yet to get a reply. DO NOT get these boots or any other boot made of polyeurathane, they are cheap crap. Steve Madden is supposed to be a good brand, so it is a little dissapointing to me. I do have a pair of boots from steve madden made out of real leather, and I absolutely love them, so far they have held up well. I also have had flats from steve madden that I wore to work and was constantly on my feet, and they held up well considering the abuse they recieved in a work environment of constantly standing and walking. These boots are just a let down, I highly recommend against them.

I really like these boots, but think I am going to send them back :( I bought them for wearing over jeans and for casual wear, but they really stand out! When I put them on with some jeans and a black hoodie, I feel like they STAND WAY OUT because they are shiny!! I wish they were made of suade or more distressed leather. They are VERY cute, but I think they are more for dressing up! Not everyday casual wear, at least not if you're like me, and self concious about what people think of your shoes!!

I absolutely adore these boots (in the brown color). Luckily, I purchased them at about $40 and have been getting great mileage and frequent compliments ever since. Since these boots are synthetic (read: not leather) rain or snow slush will not stain the material. Even so, the boots are not waterproof which is a bit of a detraction, but certainly not a major issue for me. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the boots are vegan and more animal friendly than most. My only complaint comes from the fit on the calves: the boots put a tight squeeze on my calves when I'm wearing jeans or denim capris. Being that I don't run everyday or sculpt my legs, I can fit into them with the aid of a side zipper. But if you have muscular or large calves, it may be too tight or uncomfortable. The buckles on the heel and the calf may relieve some of this pressure. Additionally, the sizing seems to be on the larger side as I typically wear a size 9 or 9.5, but I managed to fit snugly into Madden Girl's 8.5. Overall, I would highly recommend these boots for their good looks and the reasonable price.

These boots look great however they started severely peeling the second time I wore them. Luckily I bought them on sale otherwise I would be even more dissappointed than I am. I don't know if I just got a pair of lemons or if all of these boots were flawed and there for e being sold on this sight but all in all. A giant rip off!

This boot is great. I still can't believe how cheap these boots for. I wore these a ridiculous amount of times over winter and they still look new. They are comfortable and fit nicely on my calves. I usually have a hard time finding boots that aren't loose on my calves but these fit well. They are a little loose on the ankle but I just wear thick socks and they're fine.
