Teva goes downhill July 26, 2010 S. M. Lomas I have worn Tevas in the past, and they used to have great arch support and were very comfortable. I bought these because the padding seemed comfortable, but as soon as I wore them for more than 5 minutes, the seams on the heel rubbed so bad that I couldn't wear them. None of the Tevas out now have arch support. Definitely disappointed.
Very comfortable and easily adjustable July 12, 2010 Bekster (colorado) I have had a pair for almost 2 years. I love the adjustment - can adjust the velcro over the ankle strap and once you get it right, never have to change it again due to the click close buckle. They were more comfortable than my tennis shoes on a recent trip.
However, like others, the bottom suddenly started falling off - yes that's not a good thing. BUT - after looking on the TEVA site and reviews for this sandal, discovered that TEVA is aware of the problem and have fixed it. I called customer support and they advised me to return them and they'd review. I have a new pair on the way already.
Falling apart June 22, 2010 J. Rittenhouse 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I happen to be a huge fan of Teva sandals since they are the only sandals that give my arches the support they need. That being said - this particular pair of sandals have been a disappointment. The arch support is great but the rubber soles keep coming loose from the plastic part. I have had to super glue them back on 3 times and I have only had these sandals for 2 months - don't think these will last me 2 years like I wanted - I'll be surprised if they last the year but I'm hoping since I missed the deadline to return them. At over $60 I expected much better quality. I noticed others on here mentioning the same problem with the soles and I'll do better in the future reading the reviews BEFORE I buy Teva sandals.
Poor construction, poor arch support May 4, 2010 Angela P. Douzart (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased these one summer, and by the next summer, the soles came unglued while walking. And I did not wear them that often. They are made with both rubber and a hard plastic, and the rubber came unglued from the plastic...perhaps rubber and plastic are not meant to be glued together, something the manufacturer should have tested.
Also, I had surgery on my foot several years ago (bunionectomy), and I now need very supportive shoes. These appeared to have a good, solid sole and a supportive looking arch, but when wearing them for extended periods of time, my feet would begin to hurt, particularly in the arch area.
Luckily, I paid less than $30 for these at a discount/closeout store, and after my experience, I have a feeling they were discounted due to the poor construction and negative reviews from consumers. So, all in all, I give this model a thumbs down! Don't waste your money.
Terrible April 10, 2010 Disappointed 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought these for our trip to Hawaii. The first day I wore them in the tide pools, and when I went to wear them the next day the sole peeled apart on both shoes at the toe and heel! Never had this happen to other Teva's that I owned.
