I have an injured foot. I crushed the arch in my right foot in 1994. A bone protrudes somewhat on the outer side of my foot and can't take the pressure of an enclosed shoe. The Teva Women's Pretty Rugged leather 2 Outdoor Sandal is the ONLY shoe that I have purchased (out of about fifty various types purchased in the past fifteen years) that actually works for my foot. I purchased my sandals in 1998 or 1999, so I have gotten years and years of use from them. I have loved them because they allow me to walk with no problems. Alas, they are getting pretty shabby looking now, so I ordered another pair. They were not the same sandal! The sole is different, but the straps are the same. Still, it is a nice sandal. Too bad for me though. I wear a size 11 and the new shoe is almost an inch shorter than the old size 11. They do not fit, and there is NO size 12! Now what am I to do? Teva makes and Amazon carries the same sandal in a Nylon strap style in size 12. My foot doctor and I laughed because the Nylon sandals will not be as "dressy" as the Leather ones. I have to wear these sandals winter and summer because of my foot. I get "looks" in the winter time. I will try the Nylon ones, but I will not be happy about not having the leather ones. You may notice that I gave this sandal five stars and it deserves the high rating. They are made well and last for years. They are very comfortable. The velcro has never worn out and it holds your foot securely. They do not slip on wet floors or pavement. I have had to walk through water a number of times and the leather did not discolor or spot. They are wonderful shoes. They will serve you well. Enjoy!

These Teva leather sandals are comfortable, nice looking, long lasting, and a good buy for the money. Actually, all Teva sports sandals are great!

I was so disappointed in this pair of sandals that I just shipped them back. Perhaps if I hadn't known what this sandal USED to be like, I would have kept them. I own fivel other Teva sandals and two of them are this same sandal I just ordered. But Teva has changed this sandal! The sole is a lot stiffer and uncomfortable and the straps in the medium width (they don't come in wide width) are shorter leaving much Velcro exposed when fastened. The sandal is not nearly as comfortable as my other Teva sandals. All my other Teva's were VERY comfortable the first time I put them on. I was really disappointed in this new pair and have communicated with Teva and they told me they have made several changes in their product. I asked them to change them back because they've ruined their product. My old Tevas are several years old and I still wear them and the only reason I wanted a new pair is because my old pair have begun to look old even though they are not worn. I just wanted a newer pair to wear when I want to look dressed up. They are really still a very serviceable shoe even though I've worn one pair in salt water! (Yes, they are leather!) I wear Tevas every waking hour in weather warm enough for sandals.
