I have only worn these rain boots three times. I bought them new and now they have multiple holes in them. The material comes apart quickly and leaves gaps at the back of the leg (because of the stress that happens on the boot when you foot is not completely flat on the floor. I am very disappointed that these boots broke so quickly

I live in an area that is ALWAYS either Raining or snowing. I wish I had gotten these years ago.. They are fun... Not outlandish but eye catching.

-I highly recommend going TO a Target store and trying a set on! The color choices at the store were lame here so I ordered online but I would have ordered an 8 based on my 7 1/2, sometimes 8 normal shoe size. I fit a 7 w/my jeans tucked in, custom insoles and socks.
-They DO smell like rubber. People need to stop smelling their shoes. It's not so bad that you have to roll the windows down in the car! C'mon people.
-They look like they MIGHT tear someday at the rim of the sole BUT they were 30 bucks! I'm planning on getting some matching gray caulk to fill in any separation that might occur in the future. I think the $50-100 rubber boots would have the same problem and I was not willing to risk more than 30 bucks for rain boots. I feel like, 30 dollar boots are not expected to live forever. By the time they fail, you'd probably want a new design anyway. I already want another pair in a different color, but alas, I will refrain.
-If you live in a place like Seattle and walk to work, you might want to invest in some hardcore REI-type boots, not as cute but more long-term functional.
-I will wear them through our (Oklahoma) rainy season and see how they do and if I can, I will update my review.
For wearing them about 5 times in the rain and snow, I recommend them for 30 bucks.

These boots are awesome! I read all the reviews before I ordered so I knew to order one full size smaller than I normally wear. I was a little skeptical at first since I am definitely a size 7 and HATE tight shoes, but they fit perfectly with regular socks. The birdie does stand on a pistol, which you can't really see on the pic, but it's not very obvious unless you hold the boots to your face. Same goes with the rubber smell, not as strong as other reviewers said it would be. And they are made of rubber, so I wasn't exactly expecting them to smell like daisies when they arrived. Overall, great buy, got them in 3 days with regular shipping, and planning on wearing them through the rest of the winter (I'm actually looking forward for another rainy day!).

I highly recommend these boots. If you want to wear them in cold weathers though you do need liners or long wool socks.
